You could also visit Lac Annecy and Lyon. In November, it could be getting its first snow, which is nice if you like that sort of thing. This summer, we spent 5 days in Chamonix, France which was wonderful. The French Riviera gets quiet during this time and I think it could be a little rainy there too in November. You could do Paris + Alsace (and maybe Lucerne, Switzerland too) or Paris + Loire Valley. If you went to Italy, you’d have to be prepared for some gray, drizzly days but you won’t have to contend with crowds, which might make it worth it.įrance would be nice. You can follow our trip on Facebook but if you are planning your trip this year, that won’t be much help. Tim and I will be in Italy from the end of September through a chunk of October this year, so I’m interested to see just how rainy it really gets. The rainy season starts in October in Italy and goes through November, from what I have read on multiple sources.
